The traditional ark shape for a chicken house has been a favourite for decades.

Constructed with 12mm deep rebate cladding on 38mm square framing that is pressure treated (Tanalised) and coloured to a mid brown finish during the process. The wire mesh used is 25mm square weldmesh, 16 guage (1.60mm thick). All fixings and hardware are zinc plated.

House - 850mm long x 1400mm wide x 800mm high

An external nest box with two compartments provides a roomy laying environment and gives all the available space within the house over to the birds. 2 roosting bars are fitted. A hinged nest box lid allows easy egg collection.

There is a slide-out floor / droppings tray to make cleaning out an easy task.

A lift off panel gives access to the house. There is a hinged door to access the run area.

A vertically sliding pop hole gives birds access to the run area via a ramp This pop hole cover is opperated by a draw cord. A second pop hole is fitted to the run end panel to allow birds to free range if required. ( Both will accommodate an auto opener )

The house section is raised allowing the birds to use the full footprint of the ark

The area under the house is weather protected on two aspects giving daytime shelter from wind and rain plus shade in the summer. The side weather panel is removable and can be fitted left or right. An additional weather panel is available to give extra protection.

The end panel under the house rotates 180 degrees and is designed to take a feed hopper. ( see below ) This feature allows easy access / filling of hopper and weather protection when closed.

Carry handles are fitted at both ends for portability.
